Gangbanger Drags FBI Agent With His Car, Gets New Set Of Bullet-Holes

An FBI agent was dragged for a quarter mile, police said.
Sandy Springs, GA – An FBI agent was forced to shoot a suspect he was chasing when the man attempted to flee in a vehicle and dragged the agent for a quarter mile through an Atlanta suburb, police said.

The unnamed agent attempted to arrest suspected gang member Cedrick Hill, 25, in the lobby of the Wyndham Atlanta Galleria just after 6 a.m., The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

“This suspect had been indicted, but was the only one who had not been arrested yet,” FBI spokesman Kevin Rowson said, according to FOX News.

Hill fled from the lobby, and the agent pursued him into the hotel parking lot, where the suspect jumped into a truck.

“The agent tried to stop [Hill] from fleeing in the vehicle and somehow got caught up in the vehicle and got dragged by the suspect,” Rowson said. “At that point, the agent felt that his life was in danger, so he shot the suspect.”

Hill returned to the hotel lobby, while the agent called 911.

Hill was arrested without further incident, Rowson said.

The agent was treated at a local hospital for undisclosed, non-life-threatening injuries, FOX News reported.

Hill was also taken to the hospital. According to the FBI, he was in surgery, and his condition is unknown.

Investigators recovered a handgun, wallet and bullet casings outside of the hotel.

Hill was the last suspect to be arrested after dozens of indictments were issued for members and associates of the Nine Trey Gangsters on Oct. 12, 2017, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

“The alleged crimes relate to drug distribution in the Atlanta area and acts of violence perpetrated largely against the gang’s own members,” U.S. Attorney Byung Pak said in a news release, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “Shockingly, the Nine Trey Gangsters in this case appear willing to kill someone or to commit violence over the smallest perceived slight.”

Police said that Hill and the other suspects listed in the indictment face Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) violations, murder, and drug charges.
